Helena Bowen spent half  of her working career in Ontario, working in Finance as an Accountant for an engineering firm Philips Consultants, while also working Part-time in Interior Decorating with Eatons Custom Interiors.

She relocated to Yellowknife, NT in 1989 where she worked for 10 years in Customer Service with Canadian Airlines. After the collapse of Canadian Airlines, Helena and her husband decided to relocate to Vancouver Island. They currently reside in the Chemainus, Ladysmith area.
